He has Risen...INDEED!!!

EASTER SUNDAY!!

Pastor Ron Molina  04.08.12

What would the world be like IF Jesus wouldn't have risen from the dead?!
...because He HAS risen,
we know the Bible is true and our sins are forgiven!!

1 Corinthians 15:1-3
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures...
                                                                   1 Corinthians 15:14-19
14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

Our receipt...Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How great is the forgiveness from GOD?!

It is GREAT!!!!

Do you ask yourself...
where am I right now with the LORD?

...Because HE lives...there is hope!!

Be Fishers Of Men

HE is in all things...
there is nothing that HE can't do!!

It is important to us to learn the WORD of GOD...
grass withers, flowers fade, but GOD's WORD is forever!!

Mark 1:14-20
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom[e] of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
 16 And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
 19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. 20 And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.

And how can we become Fishers Of Men if we don't know the
WORD of GOD?!?!

Scriptures for this week;

Matthew 6:31-34
Hebrew 4:12
2 Timothy 3:10-17

PSALMS 143
Hear my prayer, O Lord,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness.
2 Do not enter into judgment with Your servant,
For in Your sight no one living is righteous.
3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul;
He has crushed my life to the ground;
He has made me dwell in darkness,
Like those who have long been dead.
4 Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me;
My heart within me is distressed.
5 I remember the days of old;
I meditate on all Your works;
I muse on the work of Your hands.
6 I spread out my hands to You;
My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah
7 Answer me speedily, O Lord;
My spirit fails!
Do not hide Your face from me,
Lest I be like those who go down into the pit.
8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You.
9 Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies;
In You I take shelter.[a]
10 Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness.
11 Revive me, O Lord, for Your name’s sake!
For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12 In Your mercy cut off my enemies,
And destroy all those who afflict my soul;
For I am Your servant.

You must be able to tell others what Christ has done for you, before you can attempt to tell them what He can do for them. Pastor Bill

feeling tempted?

Just from your home (and really, it doesn’t matter where you live) to the nearest mall, how many times do you see a sign, a billboard, some kind of advertisement trying to entice us to do things that we know in our hearts are very wrong. I see advertisements for gambling at the casinos, beer and whiskey, adult stores and clubs, go into debt and buy a new car…and the list goes on! And don’t forget our access to the internet and some of the people we chose to be around and all the other things in life that peeks our temptation bone!

Pastor Molina reminds us that at times, we may feel
“it is easier to relieve ourselves and give into temptations”
than to walk away from them.
So, I guess the question for us today is;
How precious is the WORD of GOD to us?!

We know from reading scripture that no one has been tempted like Jesus was…

Matthew 4:1-11
1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

 The attack of the enemy is ALWAYS a lie!
Don’t give into temptation…
Read GOD’s WORD, be strong in your Faith,
‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only’

Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way,
just as we are—yet he did not sin.

A new Season!

Seams everything in our lives has a season...
...and a new season is here for the Church in the Wildwood!

Pastor Ron Molina has been a guest Pastor for us many times, and we have all enjoyed and learned from his sermons, so, while it it sad to say good-by to Kurt Cherry as our Pastor, it is exciting to let everyone know that February 26th, 2012 was Pastor Ron Molina's first Sunday as the new Pastor of the Church in the Wildwood! We are very blessed that Ron and his family have joined us!

With spring in the air, it really does seem like a new season, so it was a fitting message that Pastor Molina brought to us on his first Sunday...

The Sower...
Luke 8:4-16
   Sower...Jesus
   Path...us
   Seed...the Word of God
   Soil...our hearts

The conditioning of our hearts will make all the difference in the seed taking root and bearing fruit!
An honest heart will root the seed deep and will bear fruit with patience. Spend time in the word and prepare our hearts like we would our gardens and green houses...grow that seed!! Don't let the devil pluck God's Word from our hearts!!

Scripture reference;
Hebrews 4:12
Isaiah 48:
Psalm 119:
Galatians 5:19

Make sure our lamp stand is on to keep and share His Word!!

to BE-lieve...or not to BE-lieve...

...that the Bible IS the Holy Word of GOD!

Do you believe that every word in the Bible is God inspired?

Do you believe that the Bible is reliable?

Do you believe in the prophetic accuracy of the Bible?

If you know someone who doesn't believe the Bible, ask them what evidence they have that it is wrong.

Make sure you stay in the word. Study your Bible, surround yourself with good Christian people. If you have questions, seek the advise of a trusted spiritual advisor...

REMEMBER...

There is NO plan "B"

Get it right the first time!!

Don't give your stamp of approval to the wrong things!

"Obedience to the commands are imperative to our Christian walk!"

Sermon by Pastor Ron Molina 06.05.11

2 John (niv)
1 The elder,
To the lady chosen by God and to her children, whom I love in the truth—and not I only, but also all who know the truth— 2 because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever:
3 Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love.

Grace we do not deserve!
       Mercy we could not live without!
                  Inner Peace beyond belief!

4 It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. 5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6

It's most important that we love one another...that we show our love for God and each other every second of every day!!

 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what we[a] have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.
12 I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
13 The children of your sister, who is chosen by God, send their greetings.

Philippians 3:12 (niv)
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

We need to be that person...to help others...to set the example for others...to set a goal to win the prize!!!

Walk by Faith...Not by Sight

3 John (NIV)

A good example is Gaius...
What ever we do ...do it Faithfully...everything we do!
    Our Faith
      Our Parenting
        Our Job
Let God's word affect every aspect of our lives...be fellow workers for the Truth!!
1 The elder,
To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
5 Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters,[a] even though they are strangers to you. 6 They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way in a manner that honors God. 7 It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. 8 We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.

A bad example is Diotrephes...
It is not about us...we are not first!
9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. 10 So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.
11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

Make this important in life! Imitate what's right...not what's evil! Does this mean we will not stumble? NO...but keep trying! Imitate what's right!!

Demetrius was a good example...
Always bearing a good testimony!
 12 Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone—and even by the truth itself. We also speak well of him, and you know that our testimony is true.
13 I have much to write you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.
Peace to you. The friends here send their greetings. Greet the friends there by name.

Be kept blameless...

Sunday ~ May 22nd, 2011 ~ Kurt Cherry

I Thessalonians 5:14
        And we urge you, brothers and sisters,warn those who are idle and disruptive,
encourage the disheartened,

help the weak, be patient with everyone.

Do not be idle,
                                       like soldiers not keeping the ranks!

Encourage the timid, be patient with everyone.

Do not return evil for evil.

Be joyful always,

Pray continuously.   Give thanks!
Do not quench the Holy Spirit in your life
                                                    or in  the life of the church.

I Thessalonians 5:21
 tells us to test everything and hold onto the good.

Be kept blameless.

I Thessalonians 5:24
                                 says, the one who calls you is faithful

and He will do it.

Seek The Spirit!

A "C" and "E" Christian?

Oooooh...someone who only goes to church on Christmas and Easter...
a "C" and "E" Christian.

Hebrews 10:25(NIV) 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Well, that about says it all...Don't be a "C" and "E" Christian, the Bible says to assemble and I'll bet God intends us to assemble often, not just on those two days!

Today...Pastor Cherry teaches on Romans 1
  Purpose
    Plan
      Promise
       Power
        Purity
It's all in the book Of Romans!!

Romans 1:16  is especially important to note...
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Are you ashamed? Or maybe just to busy? Our faith, our salvation, cannot be real, if, we are a "C" and "E" Christian. Faith is not a McDonald's menu. You can't pick and choose the toppings you want on your  "Faith" sandwich! You can't super size it...or hold the pickle! You can't ask Jesus to be in your life and then only obey parts of the Bible...and disregard the parts that might not taste good on your "Faith" sandwich.

It's all or none...No compromise...
What will your lifestyle choice be?
Choose God! Choose His gift!
Choose the gift of life!

( I am still working on posts with video from Easter Sunday...I am having technical difficulties...thanks for understanding!)

April 24, 2011

Happy Ressurection Day!!

A celebration of life!
Resurrection Day...The victory for the Christian!

Do we really understand the Gospel?
Jesus paid it all...all to Him I owe.
He took our place in sin

John 19:28-30 (niv)
28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said,
“It is finished.”
With that, he bowed his head
and gave up his spirit.

"Finished"...that is the word of the day, week, month, year, decade, century...OK, you get the point just how big and important that word is..."Finished"...at that point, Jesus had filled His obligation to us...He set us free and gave us eternal life! I'd say that's something to celebrate!!

Today, Pastor Cherry hit a home run with his sermon...very inspirational...in fact, the whole day was incredible! I have video of the sermon, of Pastor Cherry and his daughter singing, And of a baptism Pastor Cherry did for one of our parishioners! Wow, New life!!! Amen!!!

Throughout the week I am planning to post some video clips and share some highlights of Easter Sunday at the "Church in the Wildwood"!!

“It is finished.”
Significant beyond words!!
